A lovely man and true rugby stalwart. A good friend to me personally and Grimsby Rugby Club and I always welcomed his advice. He will be a great loss to the sport. Rest in Peace Alan.

Alan was a true rugby friend. We have known and respected each other for many years. He was always a welcome guest at Scunthorpe RUFC and we always passed valued time at County and other meetings in recent years. I will miss his camaraderie, humour and most of all his friendship.
